Mary (Matus) Looka, age 80 of 212 W. Walnut, West, died September 27, 1995 in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West; with the Rev. Melvin Dornak, as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mrs. Looka was born July 2, 1915 at Shiner and had lived at Robstown for a number of years before moving to West in the early 70's. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, a homemaker and a seamstress. She married Joe Looka, April 19, 1952 in Robstown, Tx. He preceded her in death April 6, 1978. Survivors include one brother, Leo Matus of Altus, Oklahoma; and one sister, Mrs. Frances Blahuta of West; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Richard Matus, Eddie Morris, Edward Morris, Jr., Emil Hutyra, Joe Ed Grimm and Edward Fajiak. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
