Joseph D. Looka Age 68, Dies Joseph D. Looka, 68, of Route 2, West, died Thursday night in West Community Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Looka was born in Westphalia and lived there until 1943. He moved to Corpus Christi and worked for Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp 18 years. He had lived in the West area for the past 12 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He married Mary Matus April 19, 1952, in Robstown. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Looka; two brothers, Charlie Looka of Rowena and Paul Looka, Jr. of Corpus Christi; and three sisters, Mrs. Lee Schneider of Houston, and Mrs. Regina Helpert and Mrs. Agnes Ordner, both of Robstown. Pallbearerts were Larry Looka, Charles Looka, Gene Helpert, Billy Gene Schneider, Melvin Schneider, Melvin Schneider and Billy Joe Ordner.
