Arnold Kotrla, 51, Dies; Rites Held Wednesday Arnold C. Kotrla, 51, of West, died at 9:15 a.m. Monday in a Waco hospital. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Rev. George Doskocil officiated with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Kotrla, a salesman for Dietz Memorial Co. in Waco, had lived in West all his life. He had been a bus driver for West Independent School District. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and was an usher at the church. He was sextent for St. Mary's Cemetery. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2305 and the KJT Lodge No. 31. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Irene Kotrla; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Dorothy) Kucera of West; one sister, Mrs. Eddie Hlavaty of West; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bernard Hlavaty of Waco, Lawrence Hlavaty of Waco, Henry Dietz of Waco and Frank Roznos, Alvin Payne and M.F. Kruse of West. Music was provided by the Children's Choir, directed by Sister Denise, and by the combined KC and PTA Choirs, directed by Nick A. Morris; Mrs. Rudy Grimm was organist.
