Louis Haidusek, Long Time West Resident, Dies Louis Rehor Haidusek, 77, a resident of West for the past 47 years, died at 7:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 1960, at his home at 606 S. Davis St., West. Rosary services were held in the family home Friday evening, the Rt. Rev. I.J. Valenta officiated. On Saturday, Feb. 27, at 11:00 a.m. the requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev. Frank S. Miller with funeral sermons by Rt. Rev. I.J. Valenta an Rev. James T. Quilter. Mass was sung by St. Mary's School Children Choir. Burial was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Quilter conducting graveside services. Mr. Haidusek was born January 9, 1883 in Schule3nburg, Texas. He was married to Mary Cocek on February 6, 1912 in Bomarton, Texas and they moved to this area shortly thereafter. A member of the Catholic Church of the Assumption, St. Joseph's Society No. 31, KJT, he was employed at the time of his death by Snokhous Plumbing Co. He is survived by his widow, six children, Sister Mary Martin, nee Margarett, of Shreveport; Sister Irene Marie, nee Mary Ann, of Fredericksburg; Mrs. Malvina Howard of Longview; Mrs. Irene Scott of Austin; Alois D. Haidusek of Ft. Worth; and Mrs. Molly Reed of El Paso; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Bittner and Mrs. Libbie Mladenka of Schulenburg and Mrs. Millie Herzik of Eagle. Pallbearers were Amos Cocek, Bubba Herzik, Joe Johnny Halamik, Jerry Cocek, Arden Knezek, Edwin Haidusek, Allen Busby and Willie Snokhous.
