Willie Dvorak, Sr., age 98 of West, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2001 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Dvorak was born April 24, 1903 in Industry, the son of John and Rosie Dvorak. He married Emilie Dirba on February 16, 1931. She preceded him in death on December 9, 1989. He was a farmer and carpenter most of his life before retiring in 1966. He enjoyed playing dominoes, watching westerns on TV, reading, and being with family. He is also preceded in death by one son, Henry Dvorak, who died October 1, 1997. He is survived by four sons, Frank Dvorak and his wife Dorothy of Waco, John Dvorak and his wife Helen of Clinton, Alaska, Joe Dvorak and his wife Elsie and Willie Dvorak, Jr., all of West; two daughters, Lucille Dudik and her husband Emil of Hubbard and Agnes Rochen and her husband Winslow of Waller, 32 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of the arrangements.
