Hillsboro Reporter October 2004 EMIL DUDIK, JR., LUCILLE DUDIK Mr. Emil Dudik, Jr., 72, and his wife, Lucille Dudik, 70, both of Hubbard, died Sunday morning, October 24, 2004, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Hubbard. Mr. Dudik was born September 27, 1932, in Hill County, son of the late Emil Dudik, Sr. and Bertha Kallus Dudik, and had lived in the Hill County area all of his life. He was a farmer and rancher and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption of West and KJT Society of Penelope. He had formerly served on the Malone School Board for a number of years. He married Lucille Dvorak November 23, 1954, in West. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Dudik and Ruth Nors; three brothers, Lambert Dudik, Clement Dudik and Robert Dudik; one daughter-in-law, Sue Dudik, September 24, 2001; one brother-in-law, John Kaska; and one sister-in-law, Marie Dudik. Mrs. Dudik was born December 4, 1933, in Tokio, daughter of the late William Dvorak and Emilie Dirba Dvorak. She lived in the Tokio/Ross areas until her marriage to Emil Dudik November 23, 1954. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption of West and KJZT Society of Penelope. She was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Dvorak; and one daughter-in-law, Sue Dudik, September 24, 2001. Mr. Dudik’s survivors include: 15 children, Sylvia Marek and husband, Stanley, and Christine Williams and husband, Carl, all of Abbott, Jilji Gerik and husband, Eugene, Jr. of Mart, Albert Dudik and wife, Clara, of Penelope, Charlie Dudik and Emil Joe Dudik and wife, Rose, Marvin Dudik, Lambert Dudik, Bertha Locke and husband, Daniel, Toby Dudik, Andrew Dudik and Pete Dudik, all of Hubbard, Pauline Locke and husband, Donald, of Elm Mott, and Hattie Filer and husband, Richard, and Carolyn Marek, and husband, Stephen, all of West; 25 grandchildren; one sister, Clara Kaska of Hillsboro; one brother-in-law, Emil Nors of West; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Dudik of Hbubard. Mrs. Dudik’s survivors include: her 15 children; 25 grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Rochen and husband, Winslow, of Waller; four brothers, Frank Dvorak and wife, Dorothy, of Waco, John Dvorak and wife, Helen, of Arkansas and Joe Dvorak and wife, Elsie, and Willie Dvorak, all of West. Rosary for the couple was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at St. Mary’s Church with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery near Penelope. Active pallbearers for Mr. Dudik were Martin Dudik, Adam Dudik, Emil Joe Dudik IV, Kevin Dudik, Mark Gerik, Phillip Gerik and Jason Marek. Active pallbearers for Mrs. Dudik were Mark Dvorak, Harry Joe Dudik, Jerry Dudik, John Daniel Kaska, Bernard Nors, Eugene Dudik and Ricky Filer. Memorials may be made to Hubbard EMS.
