Bio

John Joseph Dvorak, age 80, of 417 Playdium Drive, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, at West Community Hospital. Mr. Dvorak was born July 14, 1903, in Fayette County. He lived in the West area and Prairie Hill most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He married Emma Dirba Nov. 14, 1932 in Wallis. Survivors include his wife, Emma; one son, John L. Dvorak of Elm Mott; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Leona) Gerik of Mart, Mrs. Edgar (Mary) Young of West, Mrs. Raymond (Evelyn) Kolar of West and Mrs. Georgie Hutchison of Bellmead; one brother, Frank Dvorak of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. Mary Marek of West; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, the Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Kolar, Dennis Kolar, Raymond Joseph Dvorak, Jessie Ince, Eugene Gerik, Jr., and Robert Reesing.
