Louis V. Chudej, age 70, of West passed away Monday morning, May 4, 1992 at his residence. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday by Msgr. George Doskocil at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Chudej was born February 13, 1922 in West and had lived in West all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army-Air Corp. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 4819 of West, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion of West. He was also a 50 year member of the K.J.T. Society 31, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. He married Annie Nors November 10, 1943 in West. Survivors include his wife of West; three sons, Ernest Chudej of Corsicana and Edward and Johnny Chudej, both of West; one sister, Mary Noli of Kingman, Arizona; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Robert Nors, Bernard Chudej, Kenny Chudej, Larry Mechell, Billy Nors, Aubrey Uptmor, Alfonse Wachsmann and Harry Gene Norts. Honorary pallbearers were members of V.F.W. Post #4819, West American Legion Post #478 and Disabled American Veterans. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
