Bio

John Cervenka, Long Time Citizen of West, Succumbs to Illness John F. Cervenka, age 76, pioneer resident of this community, died at his home here on Tuesday morning at 4:30 o'clock, following a brief illness. Mr. Cervenka was born in Czechoslovakia, moving to the United States 56 years ago. Shortly after coming to American he located in this community where he resided until his death. Funeral services were held at the residence at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Survivors are: five daughters, Mrs. Chas. Vitek, Mrs. Frank Martinets and Miss Helen Cervenka of Granger, Mrs. Jim Fuller and Miss Albina Cervenka of West; five sons, Robert, Leon, John L.
