Mrs. Elizabeth Frances "Betty" Anthony, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at the IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis. She was born Sept. 11, 1922 in Alsdorf, the daughter of Leslie and Rosie Kouba Jarolimek. She was reared in Alsdorf, attending Central High School. She was a 1941 graduate of Ennis High School. On Sept. 28, 1946 she was married to Nolan Anthony. After their marriage they lived in the Byrd community until 1956 when they moved to Ennis. She was employed by the Ennis ISD as a P.E. aide and the Ennis Compress as a clerk. She was a member of the Anthony Drive Baptist Church, the Czech Heritage Society and the Ennis Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by her husband, Nolan, of Ennis; a son and his wife, Durwood and Patricia Anthony of Ennis; a daughter and her husband, Nola Ann and Eddie Factor of Ennis; two sisters, Dorothy Sonka of Arlington and Marjorie Miller of Ennis; two grandchildren, Andrew Bryan Anthony of Ennis and Patrick Ryan Anthony of Arlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Rosie Myers and a brother, Leslie "Sonny" Jarolimek. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Irvan Anthony officiating. Interment will be in the Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
