Pioneer West Man Buried Here Mond. William C. Cox, 71, pioneer West resident, passed away at his home two miles west of this city at 10:15 p.m. Saturday following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ at West at 3 p.m. Monday, Mr. Trine Starnes officiating. Burial was in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Cox was born in this section and had lived here all his life, engaging in farming in the Tokio comunity. He is survived by his widow; eight sons, Charlie Cox of Corsicana; Joe Cox, Ben Cox, James Cox, Johnnie Cox, all of West; Elbert Cox and Haze Cox, also of Corsicana; Herman Cox, Waco; one stepson, Lawrence Bass, West; nine daughters, Mrs. Tinnie Lowe, Mrs. Viola Smith, Mrs. Dovie Edwards, Mrs. Opal Rozell, Mrs. Jessie Faye Green, Miss Betty Cox and Miss Pauline Cox, all of West; Mrs. Jewel Robinson, Waco; Mrs. Marthabell Munsey, Dublin; one step-daughter, Mrs. Ada Williams, Waco; 29 grandchrilden; six brothers and four sisters.
