OBITUARY: 7 November 2003 - Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Page 4B) MAY HUBERT Vermillion - May Hubert, 102, of Vermillion, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003 at Bethany Lutheran Home, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003 at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Elmer "Sandy" Aakre officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Vermillion. She was born in Vermillion on Aug. 6, 1901 to Joseph and Gertie (Washburn) Coverdale. She was raised by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Coverdale. She attended grade school and high school in Vermillion. She received her teacher's degree from the University of South Dakota. She was married to Harvey F. Hubert on June 17, 1921 in Vermillion. He died Oct. 12, 1986. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church, V.F.W. Auxilliary, Senior Citizens, and Degree of Honor. Survivors include her twin sister, Gertie Bates of Omaha, NE and several nieces and nephews. Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
