Barbara's siblings include Lorenz and John Dobereiner of Fulda, Johanna (John) Leebens of Fulda, Kate (William) Peters of Heron Lake, & Anna (Peter) Peterson. Barbara married Michael Wildfeuer & they emigrated to the United States from Regensberg, Bavaria in 1871. After living in Chicago and then Milwaukee, they settled in Belfast Township, Murray County, MN. Michael purchased a farm in Section 14 from the Milwaukee Railroad in 1886. This homestead became a Century Farm in 1986. Michael & Barbara were the parents of 18 children, 9 of whom lived beyond infancy. Their first home was a sod house and, later, Michael gathered rock from the fields and built a barn and a house on his land. Michael was a stone mason in his homeland. He hauled wagonloads of rock from his farm for the foundation of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, which he helped build. After Michael's passing in 1903, Barbara continued to live on the family farm. Their son Frederick married Katie Lidtke, and they continued living on this farm. Fred built a new barn in 1913. NOTE: Barbara is the daughter of Christopher & Marguretha Dobereiner.
