Michael & Barbara Dobereiner Wildfeuer emigrated to the US from Regensberg, Bavaria in 1871. After living in Chicago and then in Milwaukee, they settled in Belfast Township, Murray County, MN. Michael purchased a farm in Section 14 from the Milwaukee Railroad in 1886. This homestead became a Century Farm in 1986. Michael & Barbara were the parents of 18 children, 9 of whom lived beyond infancy. Their first home was a sod house and, later, Michael gathered rock from the fields and built a barn and a house on his land. Michael was a stone mason in his homeland. He hauled wagonloads of rock from his farm for the foundation of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, which he helped build. After Michael passed away, Barbara continued to live on the farm. Their son Frederick married Katie Lidtke, and they continued living on this farm. Fred built a new barn in 1913.
