Bio
Travis R. (Bob) Stafford of Waco, a former department manager for Sears Roebuck and Col, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 80. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilkirson-Hatch funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Mr. Stafford was born Dec. 14, 1911, in Prairie Hill, where he attend school. He married Kitty Lou Lyon on Jan. 24, 1935; she died July 13, 1958. He married Louise Carlisle Shell on July 26, 1970. He worked for Sears for 20 years, retiring as an automotive department manager in 1958. After retiring, he worked with his brother, Paul Stafford, in the real estate business. He was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church and James H. Lockwood Lodge No. 1343, AF&AM. He was a 23rd-degree mason, York Rite. Survivors include his wife, Louise Stafford of Waco; two daughter, Kay Stafford Glover of Victoria and Brenda Stafford Sharp of Houston; a stepdaughter, Charlotte Cornett of Dallas; a son, Travis Richard Stafford of Houston; two sisters, Johnnie Dellinger of San Antonio and Mary Akin of Texas Ciry; three brothers, Paul Stafford and Howard Stafford, both of Waco, and Lewis Stafford of Prairie Hill, 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
