Bio
Joseph John Laza, 81, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Joseph was born on January 14, 1928 to Joseph and Mary (Bobalik) Laza in Ennis, Texas. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1945. He married Irene Taraba and they made their home in Ennis. Joseph served in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He worked for International Harvester for seven years then in automobile sales for thirty seven years, retiring in 2000 from fleet sales at Allen Samuel's. He was a member of the SPJST, Lions Club, a charter member of the Ennis Jaycees and attended St. John Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Irene Laza of Ennis; two sons: Randy Laza, and his wife, Deborah, of Dallas and Shawn Laza, of Irving; two daughters: Debbie, and her husband, Glen Morgan, of Haltom City and Suzanne, and her husband, Eric Ramirez, of Austin; one brother, Edward Laza, of Richardson; two sisters: Evelyn Kosich, of Dallas, Hattie Knowlton, of Irving; and Donald York of Brea, California, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
