Bio

Funeral services for John E Norval were held Saturday, June 11 at 2:00 pm at the Goodrich chapel with the Rev Paul Whitfield officiating. Music was furnished by Mr and Mrs Ray Bozarth. Casketbearers were Bill Wait, Charles Wait, Jim Willis, Bill Norval, Lester Oshel and Howard Thurston. Burial was in Pleasant Springs Cemetery. John Edward Norval, Sr son of Anton M and Josephine Wiegel Norval in Guide Rock, NE and died Thursday June 9, 1977 at his home in rural Osceola. When he was a young boy the family moved to Kansas City where he lived until 1936 when he moved to St Clair County. On May 5, 1934, he was married to Dorothy Anderson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, 1971 and a son George in 1957. Survivors include three sons, John Edward, Jr, Rt 3, Osceola; Roy, Rt 2, El Dorado Springs, and Joe, Rt 4, El Dorado Springs; one sister, Mrs Leota Wait, rural Smithville, Mo.; one aunt, Mrs Edith Kessel, Batesville, Ark; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
