Funeral Services were held in the Goodrich Chapel, Osceola, Mo., Saturday afternoon, Dec 26, for Anton Manuer Norval, 85 years old. Anton passed away Dec 23, 1964 at home. Rev Gene Petty of the Osceola Assembly of God Church, officiated at the services. Burial was made in Pleasent Springs Cemetery, Oyer, Mo. between El Dorado Spgs and Osceola, Mo. Mr Norval was born November 30, 1879, to a French fisherman name Norval and Helen Amanda Classon Norval, in Gotham Sweden and came to the United States at the age of eight years old. His father had disappeared at sea while fishing and his mother came to the United States to find work, then, met James Ripley, before sending for Anton, who had been staying with his grandparents, Olaf and Margarett Nelson Classon, in Gotham, Sweden. The Ripleys lived in Nebraska, then Anton married Josephine Weigle in 1905. In 1915 they moved to Kansas City and in 1934 they moved to a farm in St Clair County, Riverview Community, south of Roscoe, Mo., where they lived the remaining years of there lives. Preceding him in death was a son, Leroy, in November 1949. Survivors include his wife of the home, Josephine Norval; two daughters, Mrs Helen Willis, Kansas City; and Mrs Leota Wait, Smithville; three sons, John Norval, Roscoe; Robert Norval, Kansas City, Charles Norval, Liberty all in the state of Mo. One half brother, Walter Ripley, Batesville, Ark., one half sister, Mrs Edith Ripley Kissel, Batesville, Ark., 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren
