Bio

Oliver C. McNiel Sr. was the son of John Cleveland McNiel and Mary (Polly) Baird. He married Cassandria Louisa Conner on 18 Oct 1857 in Cherokee County, Texas. Recorded in Book D2, Page 33 of the Marriage Records of Cherokee County, Texas. Their marriage resulted in the birth of 4 children: 1.John Cleveland McNiel has a memory marker in McNeil Cemetery but is buried in Edgewood Cemetery in Zavala County, Texas (Crystal City). 2. Mary Elizabeth (Bettie) McNiel Ivy. 3. Oliver Clark McNiel 4. Sarah Anne Louise McNiel married James Hiram Alldredge. They are buried in Palacios Cemetery in Matagorda County, Texas.
