Bio

Othmar and Lena Brandl Gilsdorf were married in St. Andrew's Catholic Church in 1917. They lived and farmed in Platte County until the spring of 1929. They moved their children to Knox County and lived five miles north and a quarter of a mile west of Bloomfield. Their other five children were born in Knox County and Yankton, South Dakota. In 1943 they moved three-quarters of a mile west and a quarter of a mile south. In the spring of 1945 they moved to a farm which they resided on until 1960 when they purchased a house in Bloomfield.
