Obit and photo from Hixson Funeral Home. DeQuincy- Marjorie Doyle Born May 24, 1933 in Many, LA, died Oct. 11, 2009 in DeQuincy, LA. Marjorie was active in her community and served the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) having been named Woman of the Year twice both in the Westlake chapter and the DeQuincy chapter where she was also a co-founder. She also represented the ABWA as both a state and national voting delegate at convention. Marjorie further served her community through the DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce and her service as a Board Member of the Louisiana State Chamber of Commerce, and by being politically active in Calcasieu Parish and the State of Louisiana. Marjorie loved the Lord and rededicated her life to Jesus at the Calvary Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy where she was an active member for many years until her passing. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husbands Vernon E. Stanley and Ronald Doyle, and her father and mother Louis Milton Baggett and Ruby Pearl Baggett. Marjorie was survived by her sons and their wives, Clifton E. and Darlene Stanley of Houston, Oran Glenn and Cherise Stanley of DeQuincy, Louis A. and Pat Stanley of Singer. Beloved sister Idell Allen, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Her funeral will be Wednesday October 13, 2009 at 2pm. at the funeral home. The Rev. Marvin Hicks will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-9pm and Wednesday 9 until service time.
