Jesse E Ivy was the son of Cyrus K. Ivy and Susan Ellington, came to Angelina County in the early 1850's with his Dad and 3 brothers and 1 sister. Susan Ellington died in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. Jesse was married 4 times, 1. Jo Ann Thorpe 2. Matilda Shofner 3. Mary Elizabeth (Bettie) McNiel 4. Martha Gilliland Boykin. Served in the C.S.A. in Company D, 22nd Texas Infanty along with his dad, Cyrus K. Ivy and brother, James Sanford Ivy.
