Ivy, 74, of Huntington, who died Friday at 1:45 p.m. at the Angelina County hospital after an illness of 11 days, were held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Huntington Baptist Church. The Rev. Coppin officiated. Interment was in the Huntington Cemetery. Mr. Ivy was survived by five sons, Roscoe Ivy, Jess Ivy, Hosea Ivy, Robert Ivy and Cyrus Ivy; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Collins, Mrs. Hall Carroll and Mrs. Bill Slaughter; three brothers, Cyrus, Robert and Jim Ivy; 38 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Pall bearers for the funeral were Roscoe Ivy, Rex Boon, Van Brown, Ted Collins, J. C. Boon and Richard Carroll. Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
