Bio

M L Duncan, 85, a retired engineer, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at his residence in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Chapel Bible Church, 3740 Birchman Ave., Fort Worth. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Road at University Drive, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road. M L was born March 4, 1924, in Big Spring to Charles Emmett Duncan and Mattie Ellen Duncan. He worked hard to support his family through high school. Upon graduation, he went into the military to serve for the Navy during World War II. During the war, he assisted with telecommunications. Once his service was completed he continued his education, obtaining an associate degree in drafting. He worked for many years in the electrical and aerospace fields. M L was very active in church and was a strong Christian man. He also adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them. M L was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty; his mother, Mattie; sisters, Viola and Jean; and brother, Vernon. Survivors: Daughters, Debbie Duncan and Connie Cummings and husband, Luke; grandchildren, Leah Jackson and husband, Micah, Nathan Cummings and wife, Ashley, and Bethanna, Lydia and Samuel Cummings.
