E.J. Cernosek, Penelope, Dies E.J. Cernosek, 74 of Penelope died Wednesday afternoon in a Hubbard hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Penelope with Rev. Bohumil Hruby officiating. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Penelope. Mr. Cernosek was born in Ammonsville and had lived in Penelope 70 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Penelope. His wife Marcella Cernosek, died June 14, 1970. Survivors include a son, Wilfred Cernosek of Dallas, a daughter, Mrs. Anton (Albertine) Peterson of Mesquite; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Vasek and Mrs. Regina Vanek both of Penelope, and Mrs. Esther Beseda of Dallas; and six grandchildren.
