(Published in Amarillo Sunday News-Globe, August 27, 1972) QUANAH (Spc) - Funeral services for Steve Podrovitz, 67, a resident of Hardeman County since 1929, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church here. Officiating will be the pastor, the Rev. Wilfred LeFevre. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Knowles Funeral Home. Mr. Podrovitz died Friday in Hardeman Couty Memorial Hospital. A native of Prague, Czechoslovakia, he came to Hardeman County from Milwaukee, and had operated a shoe and boot repair shop in Quanah for almost 40 years. Survivors are his wife, Ola; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne Spradlin of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Frank Ritchie of Quanah and Mrs. Floyd Belcher of 411 N. Georgia in Amarillo; three sons, Steve of St. Louis, Mo., Johnny of Boy's Ranch and George of Eldorado, Okla., a brother, George of Willard, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Farrall and Mrs. Ann Roberson, both of Milwaukee and Mrs. Catherine Plautz of Willard; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
