Some research has Nancy buried at Mountain Creek Cemetery in Rutherford Co. but John is buried in Old Field cemetery also know as Old Broad River Cemetery. John has a tombstone and since there is no proof or documentation for Nancy's burial, she was put with her husband in Old Field Cemetery. -------- Nancy Porter Ownby is my 6th Great Grandmother. I know very little about her. I agree she is most likely buried at the Old Broad River Cemetery. My 3rd Great grandfather Uriah Ownby is also buried there. Daughter of Ambrose Porter 119 orange virg and Jeminma MN. Nannie had 15 children with husband Johnny. ~~suggestion from findagrave contributor: John Ownbey (1735-1825) is buried in Old Field Cemetery, Bat Cave, NC.
