Obituary contributed by Arline Poole Cox. THE NEWS, Junction City, Lane Co. Oregon, September 14, 1989, pg 18 IVA F. NICKESON Iva F. Nickeson of Junction City died Sept. 6 at the age of 83. She was born Nov. 29, 1905 in Nebraska. She was a member of Junction City Rebekah Lodge. On May 23, 1922 in Chugwater, Wyo. she was married to her husband, Wright, who preceded her in death of Feb. 20, 1982. She is survived by her children: Beryl Bamford, Cheshire, Bill Nickeson, Junction City, Bob Nickeson, Medford, Jack Nickeson, Cottage Grove and Dan Nickeson, Eugene; 17 grandchildren, 43 great-granchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; brother Leland McCashland, Wheatland, Wyo.; sisters: Velma Hitt, Wheatland, Wyo. and Juanita Gillespie, Chugwater, Wyo. She was preceded in death by her son Ted, on Aug. 10, 1988. Funeral services were held Sept. 9 at Murphy Musgrove Funeral Chapel, Junction City. Pastor Hal Parry officiated. Concluding services were at Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
