Ella Lurene Bussell Botner Winston (August 23, 1927 – September 6, 2009) Ella Lurene Bussell Botner Winston (known as Lurene) was born on Tuesday, August 23, 1927, to Andrew Alvoy (Alvoy) Bussell and Velma Caroline Thornhill Bussell in rural Wood County, Texas, and passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009, in Dallas, Texas, at age 82. Lurene married John Weaver Winston on Saturday, May 16, 1998. Lurene was employed with Vought Corporation for 33 years. Mrs. Winston attended the University of Commerce and the University of Texas at Arlington. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockwall. Mrs. Winston was preceded in death by her parents Alvoy Bussell and Velma Bussell; baby brother Clarence William Bussell in 1940; sisters: Patricia Johnson and Velmajane Starrett; and husband John Winston in 2001. She is survived by three brothers -- J. L. Bussell & wife Zona of Lovington, New Mexico, Don Bussell of Yantis, Texas, and Andrew Bussell & wife Joyce of Yantis, Texas; two sisters -- Imogene Allman of Rockwall, Texas, and Joy Hrobak & husband Bob of Austin, Texas; along with many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. Interment will follow in Seymore Cemetery, Hopkins County, Texas. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, September 8, 2009, at the funeral home, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. - based on an obituary published in the Dallas Morning News, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009.
