Bio

Funeral services for Imogene Bussell Heard Allman, 81, of Rockwall will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shannon Hassell officiating. Interment will follow at Reilly Springs Cemetery with members of the Masonic Lodge in Yantis serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Imogene Bussell Heard Allman passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. She was born in Yantis on Nov. 2, 1929, the daughter of Alvoy Bussell and Caroline (Thornhill) Bussell. She married Clarence Heard Jr. on June 7, 1947 He preceded her in death in 1970. She married Roy Allman on May 29, 1971. He preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Allman was a homemaker. She was a longtime former member of First Baptist Church in Yantis. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Rockwall and Eastern Star in Quitman. Survivors include two sons, Michael Heard and wife, Patsy, of Rockwall, Clarence Ricky Heard and wife, Nancy, of Forney; one stepson, Ronnie Allman and wife, Gay, of Tyler; three brothers, J. L. Bussell and wife, Zona, of Lovington, N.M., and Don Bussell and Andy Bussell and wife, Joyce, all of Yantis; one sister, Joy Hrobak and husband, Bob, of Austin; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Bussell; three sisters, Lurene Winston, Velma Starrett and Patricia Johnson; and one stepson, Mike Allman. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Yantis. Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
