MRS. SCHONERSTEDT DIES IN STAMFORD Henrietta Friederike Schonerstedt of Stamford, mother of Mrs. Chas Nehring of Taylor, who passed away July 30 [1929] at her home in Stamford, was born July 26, 1846 in Eisleben Province, Saxon, Germany. She was educated there and was confirmed and baptized in the Lutheran church. She was married on July 18, 1875 to William Schonerstedt. To this union, seven children were born, three of them who are deceased. Surviving children are: Mrs. Charles Nehring of Taylor, Mrs. Paul Roeber, Ida and Fred of Stamford. A step-son, William Schonerstedt died in Colorado at the age of 55 in March 1928. Besides her aged husband and children the deceased leaves behind her twenty-five grand-children, and two sisters who live in Germany. ______ the Schonerstedt family came to this country and settled in Travis county. After four years they moved to Williamson County near Taylor; after several years the family moved to Jones county near Stamford and settled. Mr. and Mrs. Schonerstedt were among those who first founded the First Lutheran church at Stamford and were members until it was dissolved some time ago. Since then she has been confined at her home almost continuously and was in bed the last five months of her life. Funeral services were held Thursday August 1, at Stamford with Rev. A. T. Kluge of Saguton officiating. Pall-bearers were members of the Stamford American Legion. She was laid to rest in the Highland cemetery at Stamford. ************************************* Graveside services were held for Henrietta Schonerstedt, 83, officiated by Rev.
