Bio

Mary Ellen Cupp Thornhill of Crowville died at 6 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Hospital in West Monroe. She was the widow of John Thornhill. Mrs. Thornhill was a native of Alexandria, moving to Crowville in 1918. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Lone Pine Baptist church near Crowville. Burial will be in the Harris cemetery, with First National Funeral home of Winnsboro in charge. She is survived by four son, Joseph F. Thornhill of Crowville, Odell Thornhill of Baton Rouge, Posey Thornhill of Houma, and Bailey T. Thornhill of Ira, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. H.A. Harper of West Monroe and Mrs. Robert Flowers of Ira, Texas; a brother, John Cupp of Pineville; three sisters, Mrs. Steve Roberts and Miss Zudie Cupp of Pineville and Mrs. Rosie Neal of Urania, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
