Anna M Bunker, 89, longtime Hays resident, died Aug 14, 1999, at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center. She was born Nov 4, 1909, in Catherine to Melchoir and Mary (Staab) Wolf. She attended elementary school in Catherine, Girls Catholic High School, Hays, the Emily Griffith School, Denver and Aims College, Greeley, Colo. She married Victor N Bunker on Oct 4, 1928, in Hays. She was a resident of Greeley for 14 years before returning to Hays. She was a life member of the Daughters of Isabella and Hays Medical Center Auxiliary, both of Hays, and a member of the Legion of Mary at St Mary Catholic Church, Greeley. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, Hays. Survivors include a son, Edward J, Greeley; two sisters, twin, Clara Zimmerman, and Martina Arnhold, both of Hays; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, March 28, 1978; five sisters and three brothers. Services were Aug 20 at St Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with Fathers Earl Befort and Paulinus Karlin officiating; burial in St Joseph Cemetery. Brock's North Hill Chapel, Hays, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Ellis Good Samaritan Center or Thomas More Prep-Marian High School.
