Bio

Infant son of Allen & Maude (Barker) Beattie. ---------- Thanks to contributor #47466150; Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Tuesday, 27 December 1932 Within a period of four days, death has come twice to sadden the home of J. Allen Beattie, auto mechanic, residing at 921 West Fourth street. On Friday last, Mrs. Beattie passed away after a two weeks' illness of influenza, complicated by pneumonia, and about 3 a.m. Tuesday the infant son, Irvin Wayne, died at the age of sixteen days. Born on December 11th, the little babe had been in delicate health since birth and on Monday was removed to the St. Francis hospital where death occurred. The body was to be taken overland to York for burial beside that of the mother, who was laid to rest in the York cemetery. Besides Mr. Beattie, three children survive.
