OBITUARY: Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, November 19, 2011 - Donna Rae Thomas passed away Nov. 13, 2011 at her residence in Golden Valley, Arizona. Donna was born in Grand Island, Neb., Jan. 21, 1932. Donna moved to Arizona 52 years ago and spent her time between Arizona and Fairbanks, Alaska. Donna and Harvey (Rocky) moved to Lake Havasu City in 1977. She spent her time as a campground host in Coconino County. Donna was preceded in death by her father, James Beattie; her sister, Helen Fries; and her mother, Clara Beattie. Donna is survived by her son, Robert Cook, of Alaska; and her daughter, Neitha Buhler, of Kingman; her brothers, Robert Beattie and Richard Beattie; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Donna's wishes were to be cremated and interred next to her husband, Harvey "Rocky" Thomas, and her two dogs, Princess and Angel, at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Note from contributor "Following in my Gram's Footsteps" 47030357 ..... "Donna Rae was actually the daughter of James Allen & Luella Maude Davenport Barker Beattie.
