Lloyd "Ras" Selby Lloyd O. "Ras" Selby, 78, of Sullivan died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1994 in St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation from 6 to 8 tonight (Wednesday). Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan. Born April 15, 1916 in Moultrie County, he was a son of Floyd H. and Olga Webb Selby. He retired from Rhodes Lumber Co. in Sullivan, was a member of the Sullivan City Council for 19 years and was member of the American Legion Post 68 in Sullivan. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Ada L. Jones Jan 26, 1941 in St. Charles, Mo. And she survives. Other survivors include sons, George H. Selby and James R. Selby, both of Sullivan, and John D. Selby of Shelbyville, daughters, Sue Ann Chamberlain of Elizabethtown, Ky. And Rosemary Selby-Holland of Palo Alto, Cal.; brothers, Cecil Selby of Danville and Kenneth Selby of Decatur; sister Hilda Rhodes of Sullivan; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Two sisters preceded him in death. The family suggests memorials to the donor's choice.
