Mary Kathleen Kemp , 81, of Whitehouse, Texas, passed away November 29, 2013 in Kaufman, Texas. Born January 11, 1932 in Kaufman County to Bonnie L. Clower and Nancy Mary Smith Clower, Mary was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Brownsboro, Texas. She loved her grandchildren, enjoyed canvas crafting, and was devoted to her job (She retired from Wal Mart in 1999 after 35 plus years of service). Mrs. Kemp was survived by her children: Glada (Burch) Norris and husband Albert L. Norris of Kaufman, Scott and wife Terrie Burch of Midlothian, Texas, Connie (Burch) Cooksy and husband David Cooksy of Whitehouse; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister. Mrs. Kemp was preceded in death by her parents: Bonnie L. Clower and Nancy Mary (Smith) Clower; her first-husband: James Kenneth Burch; her second-husband: Gayle Wood Kemp; a son: Bruce Burch; a brother; and a granddaughter: Angela Cooksy. Visitation and funeral services were on December 1, 2013 at the Eubank Funeral Chapel of 27532 State Highway 64 in Canton, Texas with Bart Clower officiating. Pallbearers were Joel Norris, Kyle Cooksy, Samuel Burch, Gregory Burch, Brandon Correll, and Daniel Correll. Burial followed in the Edom Cemetery of Edom, Texas, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.
