Obituaries From The Dallas Morning News October 2010 Nancy M. Clower Having been born and raised in Kaufman County, Nancy Clower and her husband, Bonnie Clower, moved to Duncanville in 1954 from Terrell, Texas. They fell in love with the small home-town community, quickly fining a place to serve in the Duncanville Church of Christ. Nancy was quite adept as a homemaker, wife, and mother. She enjoyed cooking for all who came to grace her table and raised wonderful vegetables to serve. She also loved growing flowers and was always willing to share clippings with others to give them a start to many of her unique plants. The Clowers were married for 65 years before Bonnie passed away in 1993. Their 6 children include son, Walter and wife, Alta of Ft. Worth; daughter, Mary Kemp of Brownsboro; son, Bob and wife, Nancy of Terrell; son, Thomas and wife, Connie of Mineola; son, Jerry and wife, Mary Ellen, of Mineola; and daughter, Judy Deever and husband, Dennis of Cedar Hill. Nancy has also been blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is known as "Grammie" to them. Each one somehow thinks that they were her favorite. She was the oldest of 9 children, 5 brothers and 3 sisters, and has lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a multitude of friends. A virtuous woman, as described in Proverbs 31, accurately describes Nancy. She was never idle, finding ways to help and befriend others…always with kindness and patience. Nancy was born April 29, 1914, and passed away, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at the age of 96. Funeral services are 11:00 am, Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the Cedar Hill Church of Christ, 535 S. Clark Road in Cedar Hill, Texas. Family visitation begins at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the funeral, also at the church. Her body will lie in state on Wednesday evening, October 20, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel for anyone wanting to visit at that time. Burial will be at Oakland Memorial Park, Terrell, Texas. Jaynes Funeral Chapel, 811 So. Cockrell Hill Road, Duncanville, Texas.
