Bio
Dorothy Marie Faxon Waters, 82, of Gainesville, passed away May 14, 2009 at North Florida Regional Hospital. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia and returned to Gainesville after living in Tallahassee for 35 years. She was a homemaker and a cosmetologist. She was a member at University City Church of Christ, member and former Officer of the Florida Society of Mayflower Descendents. She also was the author of Faxon Family History. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, H. J. "Jack" Waters, son Douglas Waters (Melanie) of Ocala, daughters Suzanne Adams (John) of Tallahassee, Frances Spohn of Alachua, sister Donna Faxon Gillis of Gainesville, grandchildren Keith Johnson, Brad Adams, Jessica Turley, Jason Waters, and Katie Merritt, and four great grandchildren, Kyle Johnson, Avie & Colby Turley, and Jackson Adams.
