Mrs Mary Beier Mrs. Mary Beier passed away last night Sunday morning shortly after nine o'clock at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petr, where she had made her home since removal from Lawrence several years ago. Mrs. Beier was born in Detroit, Michigan on Oct. 14, 1853 and reached the age of 78 years, 6 months and 25 days. After her marriage to Jos. Beier she and her husband located in Nebraska some forty five years ago, living first in Clay County and a short time later moving to a farm southeast of Lawrence. Retiring to a home in Lawrence, the husband passed away several years ago and since a severe sick spell Mrs. Beier some three years ago moved to the Petr home. Surviving is the only daughter, Mrs. Frank Petr, four grand-children and three great-grandchildren. One son died many years ago at the age of one and a half years. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Chas. A Becker . Interrment was made in the Catholic cemetery where the husband is also buried.
