Bio

Published in the Arcadia Champion, Arcadia, Nebraska, Thursday, June 29, 1911, Page 1, Column 3 Mrs. Albert Russell, one of the early settlers of Lost Creek Township [Platte County, Nebraska] died at her home in Arcadia, NE, after a short illness. She came from Kewanee, Illinois, with her husband to Lost Creek Township in the early [18]70s, and a few years later moved to the farm that was their home until seven years ago. Since 1904 they have resided in Arcadia, near which place they bought a farm after leaving here. Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Grace Dockhorn of Arcadia and Mrs. Adam [Olive] Kunkle of Schuyler [NE]; and four sons, Fred J., Milo, and Albert of Arcadia, and Harry Russell who lives in Idaho. One son and one daughter departed this life when young, leaving six children, eleven grandchildren and her husband. The funeral service was held on the spacious lawn at the private home of the husband, Mr. Russell. About 250 of the friends and neighbors of Arcadia and vicinity attended.
