Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Wednesday, 21 October 1992 St. Paul - Anna E. Matousek, 87, of St. Paul, died Monday, Oct. 19, at Howard Community Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Rev. James Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at St. Paul. Visitation will be...at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. Mrs. Matousek was born Dec. 9, 1904, at Tarnov to John and Agnes (Torczon) Nosal. She attended Tarnov parochial school. The family moved west of St. Paul in 1923. Mrs. Matousek was employed in St. Paul doing housekeeping. She married Anton J. Matousek Jan. 29, 1929, at St. Paul. The couple farmed west of St. Paul in the Midway area un til 1965 when they retired and moved into St. Paul. Mr. Matousek died Jan. 3, 1984. She remained in her home until moving to Parkside Plaza in 1987. She was a member of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte (Mrs. Lowell) Miller of Ogden, Kan., Marilyn (Mrs William) Placke Jr. of St. Libory and Virginia (Mrs. Jim) Hirschman of St. Paul; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Celia Matousek and Verna Goc, both of Grand Island; Josephine Wieczorek of Omaha and Rose Finwald of San Dusky, Ohio; and one brother, Phil Nosal of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, Stanley, Victor, Michael, Frank and John Nosal; and two sisters, Mary Kuta and Tillie Ryan.
