Bio

Verna attended St. Michael's Catholic School in Tarnov, Nebraska, until the seventh grade when the family moved to St. Paul, Nebraska. She graduated from St. Paul High School. She married Robert Goc in Chicago, Ill., where they lived before returning to Nebraska in 1946. In Grand Island, Verna worked for Brodkey Jewelry Store for more than 30 years, retiring from that company. She moved to Lincoln in 1995. She was survived by a son, John, and a sister, Rosy Sinwald of Sandusky, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three step-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969; two daughters, Lenore Lonowski and Dorothy Goc; six brothers and five sisters'
