Bio

Louis F.J. Baethe was a very fine man. Louis he devoted most of his life in teaching other. He was a professor at the University of Texas in Austin where he taught for lot of years. Louis never married but devoted himself to his teaching. He loved his country and his family and his university. At his death he had decreed that his body be donated to the medical Branch of The University of Texas, Galveston. His wishes were carried out and his family placed this memorial here in his memory. I knew Louis well and visited with him every time I was in Austin. We were friends and I would say that he was a Great American. Louis lived to be 61 years, 11 months and 27 days old.
