Married Rosa C. Straten on 25 Nov 1925 at Tours, McLennan Co., Texas. After Rosa's death on 29 Jun 1952, he married Magdalene "Maggie" (Nemec) Tomasek. *********************** Robert J. Schroeder, 77, of West died Thursday morning, December 30, in West Community Hospital. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, Rev. Frank Miller as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Martin's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Chapel in West. Mr. Schroeder was born in Tours and lived there most of his life. He was a retired farmer and member of St. Martin's Catholic Church and St. Martin's Society. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Schroeder of West; two brothers, John A. Schroeder of Dallas and George W. Schroeder of West; two sisters, Mrs. Ben A. (Josie) Uptmore of West and Sister Henrietta Schroeder of Pasadena; son-in-law, Anton Gerik; and two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: David Nemec, Louis Nemec, Jr., Anthony Nemec, Jimmie Nemec, Steven Nemec and Dennis Gerik.
