Bio

Joseph Sebastian Quinn, Jr., loving father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Heritage Park Care Center, following an extended battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born April 13, 1926, a son of Joseph Sebastian, Sr. and Francis Ruth Curran Quinn, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Joseph lived most of his childhood in Ennis, Texas, graduating from High School there. He attended Texas A & M in College Station. Joseph served in the U.S. Army, and was a decorated Veteran in World War II. He was in the 32nd "Red Arrow" Infantry Division, Tank Battalion. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign in Luzon, Philippines and the occupational force in Japan. Joe was awarded the bronze star. On November 27, 1954, he married, Norma Harris, in Elko Nevada. They spent fifty-four years together. He loved fishing, and camping, and was known as a Dallas Cowboy and Utah Jazz fan. Graveside Services were held Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Roosevelt City Cemetery, 33 West Highway 40, Roosevelt, Utah. Then interment in the Roosevelt City Cemetery with military honors.
