Norma Harris Quinn Norma Harris Quinn passed away June 11, 2017 at the Barrington Place Care Center in Utah at the age of 94. She was born in Fort Duchesne, Utah on April 26, 1923 to Muse Koehler and Ivy May Harris. She grew up and attended boarding school on the White Rocks Indian Reservation and later graduated from Roosevelt High School. While working in the local ice cream shop she met the love of her life Joseph Quinn. They were married 2 weeks later November 27, 1954 in Elko, Nevada. They spent 54 years together until his death in 2009. She often said she was the luckiest woman in the world to have such a wonderful Husband. Norma enjoyed metal detecting, arrow head and rock hunting, coin collecting and was on a bowling team for many years. She loved spending time with her sisters in Roosevelt and was an avid Utah Jazz Fan. She had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She was proud of her Native Heritage and she loved animals especially her Boxer Dogs. Norma is survived by her Son Michael Dennis Quinn (Janeen); 2 grandchildren: Amanda Jo Quinn and Stephanie Kara Quinn and her devoted companion dog Paige. She is also survived by her sisters Helen Wilkerson and Elva Gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband and son: Ronald D. Quinn. Graveside Services will be held Saturday June 17, 2017 at 1:30p.m. at the Roosevelt City Memorial Park. Family will gather at the cemetery at time of service for a short viewing before the graveside service. Provident Funeral Home
