Charles "Pete" Spencer Scarbrough, 89, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born August 10, 1918 in Benton, TN, the son of W. O. and Anna Bell Scarbrough. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U. S. Army. Mr. Scarbrough retired from Union Carbide Corp., Y-12 where he worked as a security guard for over 30 years. He was a member of Robertsville Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing as a past-time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Roberson Scarbrough, February 10, 2008. He is survived by Daughters, Margaret Crowe and husband Curtis and Charlene Grisham and husband Mike, all of Knoxville; Brother, George Scarbrough of Knoxville; Brothers-in-law, Hoyt Roberson and wife Dean and Paul Roberson, all of Etowah and Richard Roberson of Cleveland and 2 Grandchildren, Andrew Crowe, a Senior at Lee University, Cleveland, N and Nick Grisham, a freshman at Bearden High School. Funeral services are Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 2pm at Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Michael Prince officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Tennessee National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00-2pm at Weatherford Mortuary.
