Bio
Georgie Ann Zabojnik, 76, passed away June 11, 2009 at the Ennis Regional Medical Center. Georgie was born January 24, 1933 in Ennis, Texas to Joe and Bessie (Hejkal) Tupy. She grew up in Ennis and attended Ennis Schools, graduating in 1949. On May 3, 1952, she married Victor Zabojnik. They lived in Dallas until moving to Ennis in the mid-1960's. She worked for Storey Manufacturing as a Seamstress. Georgie was a member of St. John Catholic Church, SOKOL and the Ennis Sewing Circle. She was kind, loving, and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved to garden and, of course, spend time with the grandchildren. Georgie is survived by one son, George Zabojnik; two daughters: Lisa, and her husband, Bill Sullivan and Barbara, and her husband, Rorie Harris; two sisters: Elizabeth Crone and Doris Foit; three grandchildren: Paige, Pierce and Preston. She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor, on February 4, 2009. Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. in the Keever Ennis Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Keever Chapel with John L Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in the Crisp Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
