Albin Benedict Dvoracek, 74, of West died Wednesday, January 25, 1989 at West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Dvoracek was born September 10, 1914 in West. He was a 50-year member of K.J.T. Society #31, a member of Knights of Columbus Council #2305, a charter member of the West Longhorn Club, a member of the West Vol. Fire Dept. and was the Fire Marshall for a number of years. He was service manager of Kozelski Ford Motor Co. for a number of years. Mr. Dvoracek was the owner and operator of West Service Station for 25 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Dvoracek; one son, Albin Dvoracek, Jr., of Arlington; five daughters, Joan Gamble of Ft. Worth, Carolyn Dalton of Clark A.F.B. in the Philippines, June Frawley of Rockwall, Barbara Fowler of Hubbard and Jackie Kirkpatrick of Arlington; four brothers, Charles Dvoracek of Okalona, Ark., Frank Dvoracek of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Edward Dvoracek of Waco and Herman Dvoracek of New Orleans; five sisters, Lillian Dvoracek and Mary Dvoracek, both of West, Martha Dvoracek of San Angelo, Mrs. A.W. Stone of Boise, Idaho, and Mrs. A.C. Gross of Houston; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeff Kirkpatrick, Michael Frawley, Steve Dalton, Jordan Dvoracek, Scott Dalton, Robert Fowler, Johnny Krizan and Richard Gamble. Honorary pallbearers were members of the West Volunteer Fire Department, Tim Dalton and August Snokhous. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
